Falling Film Forced Evaporator Plants

Falling film evaporators

The Liquid to be concentrated is preheated to boiling temperatures; even thin films enters the heating tube via distributors in the head of the evaporator, flow downward at boiling temperature and is partially evaporated.
Spreading the flow of liquid to each tube and forming the thin film across area of the tube is the principle of falling film evaporator.
It can be used for evaporation of Wastewater/liquors, which are sensitive, have a high rate of specific heat transfer, non crystalline solutions & for low fouling, low viscous fluid.
Falling Film Evaporation is a process controlled by two different heat transfer processes, i.e. Conduction and/or Convection across the film.

Agitated Thin Film Evaporator

Introduction:

Operating Principle:

ATFD is stands for evaporation of water/solvents to make concentrated liquid to dry powder or flakes. ATFD is the ideal apparatus for continuous processing of concentrated material to dry solids. ATFD is consist of cylindrical, vertical body with heating jacket and a rotor inside of the shell which is equipped with rows and pendulum blades all over the length of the dryer. The hinged blades spread the wet feed product in a thin film over the heated wall. The turbulence increases as the product passes through the clearance before entering calming zone situated behind the blades as the heat will transfer from jacket to main shell under the smooth agitation water/solvent will evaporate and liquid will convert to slurry, to cake or to dry powder or flex.

The vapors produced rise upward, counter-currently to the liquid and pass through Cyclone separator mounted of vapor outlet of ATFD. Further these vapor will be condensed in condenser and recovered as condensate. System will be Operated under vacuum for temperature sensitive products and atmospheric condition for normal drying.

Ultrafiltration (UF) 

Product Description:

Ultrafiltration (UF) membrane is a variety of membrane filtration in which hydrostatic pressure forces a liquid against a semipermeable membrane. Suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained, while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane.

Product Feature:

Filter accuracy: 0.01um. Cross – flow design, eliminate fouling, and increased life expectancy.
Membrane inner and outer smooth wall, a small contact angle of water of the surface porosity and a narrow pore size distribution, pore size distribution, high strength, large water flux, easy to clean.

Resistance to acids, alkalis, strong oxidizing agents, pH tolerance 2-13.
Withstand 100 ppm continuous, 200ppm short time residual chlorine exposure.

Reverse Osmosis (RO)
